Subscribe animations: prompts that actually get pressed

Updated September 18, 20263 min read

When should a subscribe animation appear in a video?

Put the prompt where the viewer has already got value, usually after the first payoff rather than in the opening seconds. Keep it under three seconds, use a transparent export so it sits in a corner, and pair it with a spoken line for the biggest lift.

Subscribe, like and follow prompts work when they feel like a beat in the edit rather than a banner. These presets click a button, burst a heart, ring a bell and stack a follow card, all in your own colors.

Five social media animations presets to start from

Hover any card to play it. Opening one loads it in the editor with every control unlocked.

  • A cursor glides in and clicks a subscribe button, which flips to subscribed as the bell rings.

  • A thumbs up pops with a colorful burst and a floating +1 that makes every like feel rewarding.

  • A sleek profile pill slides in and its follow button taps into a confirmed checkmark.

  • The bell rings with sound waves and a count badge pops on, reminding viewers to turn on notifications.

  • A chat bubble pops up, shows typing dots, then reveals your message. Great for questions and CTAs.

How to make one in the browser

  1. 01Open a social media animations presetBrowse the Social Media Animations category and open the preset closest to what you need. It loads in the editor with every control unlocked.
  2. 02Make it yoursRewrite the text, set your brand colors and font, adjust easing and duration, and switch the aspect ratio for the platform you are posting to.
  3. 03Export the clipChoose MP4 for a normal track or transparent WebM for an overlay, pick a resolution up to 8K, and the file renders on your own machine.

Which format should you export?

Use MP4 when the clip sits on its own track or fills the frame. Use transparent WebM whenever it has to float over your own footage: the alpha channel is real, so no keying or blend mode is needed.

Three tips that make it look intentional

  • Ask once, clearly, and never over dialogue you want the viewer to hear.
  • Corner placement beats center: it prompts without blocking the content.
  • Keep platform branding out of it; generic shapes are safer and age better.

Frequently asked

Can I use platform logos?
No, and that is deliberate. The presets use generic bells, hearts and cursors so your exports carry no third-party trademarks.
What size should I export for Shorts?
Switch the aspect ratio to 9:16 and export at 1080×1920 or higher; layouts adapt rather than crop.
  • Animated Backgrounds

Animated backgrounds: seamless motion behind your content

A seamless background loops so its last frame matches its first, which means you can repeat it for any duration without a visible jump. Gradients, grids, waves and particle fields work well behind titles, talking heads and product shots.

  • Particle Effects

Confetti and particles: celebration without the cheese

Pick a particle preset, set the colors and density, then export a transparent WebM. Place it on the track above your footage and trim it to the celebration beat. Because the alpha channel is real, no keying or screen blend mode is needed.

  • Glitch Effects

Glitch effects: digital distortion that still reads clean

Choose a glitch preset, set the intensity, speed and colors, and decide whether it carries text or acts as a transition. Export MP4 for a full-frame hit or transparent WebM when the distortion should sit over your own footage.
