About
velements is an editor and library of 1150 original motion graphics across 66 categories. Every one of them is written as code, drawn live on a canvas, and yours to retype, recolor and export.
The short version of how this site works, what it costs, and what happens to the work you put into a clip.
Each preset is written here as a small program that draws itself frame by frame. Nothing is bought in from a template pack, retimed and relabelled, and no clip ships with a third-party logo, mascot or trademark on it.
The typefaces and icon sets in the library are open-license, which is what lets us hand you a clip you can resell. If an asset cannot be licensed that way, it does not go in.
Preview and export both run in your browser through WebCodecs. The text, logo and images you put into an animation are never uploaded to us, so an unannounced product name stays unannounced.
Tokens buy downloads: one token, one clip, with a perpetual commercial license issued in your name. There is no subscription, previews and edits are free, and unused tokens do not expire.
Some pages carry advertising to cover hosting. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, where a preset ranks in the library, or what a guide says.
Each guide in the blog is written by the people who built the matching animations, and it says which format to export and why, including when the answer is to use something other than us.
velements is built and run by a small independent team of motion designers and engineers. The same people draw the animations, write the guides and answer the support mail, so a bug report or a licensing question reaches someone who can actually act on it.
Editing and previewing are free. You only spend a credit when the finished file lands on your machine.
