How to Make a Logo Reveal Without After Effects

   Choose by the kind of mark you have

   Mask Wipe Reveal is a fast 2 second sting for an image logo and suits channel intros. Letter Stagger animates a wordmark one character at a time, so a text-only name reads itself. Gold Dust Sweep is slower at 3 seconds and fits premium brands, weddings and event films.

   Upload the logo and set its size

   Add your file in Logo image: PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 5 MB, ideally a transparent PNG at least 1200 pixels wide. With no image, the mark is set from the Title field. Then adjust Logo size, Font, Weight, Primary and Secondary. Gold Dust Sweep also has Count and Variation.

   Keep the sting short

   Every preset defaults to 2 or 3 seconds and can run up to 15. Add length only if the mark should hold on screen longer. Logo size runs from 80 to 1600 pixels, so reduce it in 9:16, where the frame is narrower and a wide wordmark can reach the edges.

   Pick MP4 unless it lands on footage

   A logo sting that plays as its own full-frame moment works as MP4 with its background color included. If the mark has to land on your footage, set Background to Transparent and export a PNG sequence for Premiere Pro or After Effects, or WebM with alpha for CapCut or Resolve.

   Add it to the start and end

   In DaVinci Resolve, drag the frames folder into the media pool, and the numbered files load as one clip. Set its frame rate in Clip Attributes, then place the clip at the head of the timeline. Reuse the same clip at the tail so both ends match.

• Client delivery from a freelancer

  An editor adds the client's logo sting to the tail of a corporate video or testimonial, using the brand's exact colors so it matches the rest of the delivery.

  A studio's slower reveal sits at the top of a highlight film, on black or over an establishing shot, marking whose work it is before the story starts.

Three tips that make it look intentional

• Upload a logo with real transparency so the reveal masks cleanly.
• Two seconds is plenty for a pre-roll sting; save the longer builds for openers.
• Export transparent WebM when the logo should land over your own footage or a colored plate.

Three things people get wrong

• Uploading a logo with a white box behind it. Use a PNG with real transparency or the reveal fights a rectangle.
• Making the reveal five seconds long. Two is usually the limit of anyone's patience for a logo.
• Reversing the reveal for the outro. Let it land the same way both times; consistency is the point of a brand mark.
